Headlight Adjustment
One my first night drive I was greeted my lots of people flashing their headlights at me, as well as having next to no visibility of the road in front of me. In fact turning on the high beams made the road pitch black, so clearly they were too high. Unfortunately it was a quiet night and so I was quite a way from home when I figured that something was not quite right so I had to just plod on with the issue and hope no one got too upset.
Once I got back I decided to park the car in the garage and see where the lights pointed on the drive, and it was then obvious how high they were pointing. I decided to then shut the garage and mark where the lights were with masking tape, before then adjusting them. this meant I could see exactly how much I had altered them and I could align them both just right.
Once happy, I opened the garage and then checked where the dipped beam ended, and how the full beam looked, I compared this distance against my family car to double check it was right before tightening them all up properly.
The top tip would be to use masking tape to help so you know how much you have moved them.
The next drive was certainly much more pleasurable and I had no issues with dipped or main beam visibility. It is worth noting I have the LED option and they are just as good as my family car headlights. I may still revisit this just to knock the lights up a touch more, but for now they are more than fine.
